St. Paddy's Week!!!!
Hey Everyone... It's wednesday morning and I am reflecting on this past weekend of st. paddys day craziness. What a weekend it was!
We started out on Friday night at Rooneys ( a irish pub) in Jupiter and everyone was already in the spirit of St. Patricks day... The green beer was flowing. The very next morning we played on the Boston's float for the Delray Beach St. Patricks Day parade. It was so much fun... Going up Atlantic Ave on the back of a flat bed truck carrying about 60 people, while playing irish tunes is a bit dangerous... I almost fell about 10 times. (Our driver was a bit crazy with the clutch). We must have saw 100 people we knew in the parade audience. It was awesome.. When we were finished playing, my arm was cramped up and I thought my fingers were going to fall off from playing one song for 40 minutes straight. ha ha ha.
On the way back to Bostons on the float the driver got lost, and drove us through some neighborhood. The float was so big that we took down a bunch of cable and power lines... (Guess the people in those houses didn't get the game that day; .. It was a hoot.... and we were all sooo sunburned... my dad's feet looked like lobsters.
After we safely returned to Bostons we played a few sets for a pumped crowd. Bostons was standing room only.. It was great. We were beat... But, we had a show that night in Boca, so we packed up and went to the next gig.
The next morning we all had to be up at 6:00 to leave for our show in the Keys. Sid and Dana were in from Indy, (They have been to our shows everywhere... from the keys to canada... they are our running marathon buddies) We all packed in the car and got some starbucks and $12 bagels. I slept the whole way... but, woke up very quickly when I heard them say "Wales Harbor" - an all u can eat seafood resturant in key largo... I love that place.
We arrived in Marathon, at The Marathon Seafood Fest. The banner for the Fest said "Open at 10 am till 5 ish" - I thought... "Man, I love the Keys". Sid bought himself his first cowboy hat.. and looked hot!
We played a great 2 hour show and the crowd was awesome. Every seat was full and the grass was packed. Marathon is always such a cool gig. We went to Wales Harbor that night... got stuffed. We drove home monday, ate sushi that night, and passed out.
Tuesday was St. Paddy's day. It felt like we had already been celebrating for a week! We played in Jupiter in Abaco in front of Rooneys on a huge stage at the end of the street. They had a huge Fosters beer truck on one side and on the other was a huge food station where they were making corned beef and cabbage. We had a audience in attendance of 45,000 people. It was a amazing night and a great show.
Hope everyone had a great and safe St. Paddy's day!
Hey Everyone!
Last night we opened for Darryl Worley at the Roundup Country nightclub. It was soooo much fun. The show was awesome and I saw a ton of old friends.
Darlene Evans from 99.9 Kiss Country introduced us and she is always so sweet. (I think its because she has a huge crush on my dad...:) I have opened for Darryl about 5 times now, and he is the coolest, sweetest guy. - And, I love his music... it is all over my ipod when I run..."Good Day to Run" and "Tennessee River Run" really gets me pumped. :)
Darryl just had a baby girl, who is 11 months now and walking everywhere from what he tells us...he is so proud. He commented on my dad and I, and our relationship, and said that he now looks at us differently and understands what a special bond my dad and I share. (He also said, if him and his daughter could play music together it would be even cooler.) I wish him all the success and happiness in the world. He looks great and fatherhood has really changed (and calmed) him.
I want to thank the Roundup for always thinking of us, and Kiss for being so supportive. We had a great time, as always, and thanks to all the fans who came out! - You guys screamed louder than I have ever heard last night:)
Screaming fans, great show, and Darryl Worley- It was a perfect night at the Roundup.

DOUBLE RAINBOWS IN NEW YORK
HEY EVERYONE !!!! NEW YORK WAS A BLAST!
WE LANDED LATE FRIDAY NIGHT IN NEW YORK, AND EVERYONE WAS READY TO PARTY - (EXCEPT ME, WHO JUST WANTED TO SLEEP- BIG SURPRISE).
SATURDAY MORNING I WOKE UP AND REALIZED IT WAS RAINING CATS AND DOGS. SOUND CHECK GOT PUSHED BACK 2 HOURS BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER, SO, I GOT SOME FOOD AND A NAP :)
WE WENT TO SOUND CHECK AND FINISHED THE CHECK ABOUT 20 MIN BEFORE OUR FIRST SHOW, ALL OF A SUDDEN, IT STOPPED RAINING AND THE SUN CAME OUT.
OUR FIRST 4:00 SHOW WAS VERY FUN AND HOT. IT WAS 111 IN THE SUN. AS SOON AS THE SHOW WAS OVER IT STARTED RAINING AGAIN. AND THERE WAS WIND. AND THUNDER. AND LIGHTNING.
WE ALL HUNG BACK STAGE AND I PRAYED THAT WE WOULD BE ABLE TO PLAY OUR SECOND 8:00 SHOW.
AT 7:45 IT STOPPED RAINING AND DIRECTLY OVER THE STAGE WERE TWO HUGE ARCHS OF RAINBOWS. IT WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING - AND IT WENT RIGHT OVER THE TOP OF THE STAGE LIKE A PICTURE FRAME.
THE TEMP DROPPED TO 65 AND WE HAD A CLEAR, COOL NIGHT FOR OUR 2 HOUR SHOW....IT WAS PERFECT.
THE SHOWS WERE GREAT AND THE CROWD WAS GREAT. IT WAS SO NICE TO SEE ALL THE FAMILIAR FACES. THANKS TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO CAME OUT EVEN THOUGH THE WEATHER DIDNT LOOK TOO PROMISING. AND THANKS TO ALL THE FANS WHO STOOD IN LINES AND WAITED TO HAVE CDS, TEES, AND POSTERS SIGNED! IT WAS GREAT TO MEET ALL THE NEW FANS AND SEEING ALL THE FANS WHO KEEP COMING BACK AGAIN. ALB LOVES NEW PALTZ AND THE ULSTER COUNTY FAIR. WE HOPE YOU ALL HAD AS GOOD OF A TIME AS WE DID. :)

What Happens at the ACM's.....
Hey Guys!
Just returned home from Fabulous Las Vegas~ Tons of people have been asking me what it was like to be in Vegas come ACM time... totally crazy!
If you have not had a chance to make it out to Vegas for the ACM's, you must put it on your to-do list for next year. Nashville, along with 50,000 country music fans storm the city and every casino you go into is rockin' country music! It is a blast.
DAY 1: We finally arrive after a 4 1/2 hour plane ride and make it to our hotel (Paris). It is about 98 degrees outside so we hit the pool. That night ZURI is where it all goes down. Everywhere you turn is another artist, record exec, songwriter, or band member. Its a big reunion for everyone. We went to see JERSEY BOYS.... awesome. We hit up Toby Keiths, I love this Bar and grill that night to see my good friends TRAILER CHOIR perform. If you haven't seen them be sure to check them out. They are newly signed to ShowDog (Toby's Label). I Ran into MM buddy James Otto, and my FL babe Shanna Crooks who sends her love to all her fans down here in west palm.
DAY 2: Try to get out of bed at a decent hour. Meetings, Meetings, Pool, Get Pretty. "Tonight we went to Party for a Cause (Also known as the New Artisrt Showcase). Lady A, Sarah Buxton, Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Kelli Pickler, Jack Ingram where all there just to name a few. It was a great time and raised a ton of money for music education and healing through music. Back to Zuri for some more meeting of the minds. :) Ran into my good friend Andy Gibson who finally got signed to Universal South. Please, Please check him out. He is a tall, gorgeous man who has the voice of a angel and also sings in spanish. He will be huge! (FYI Andy did all the photos for Reckless).
Day 3: ACM Day: Rush Rush Rush. Getting ready and out of the hotel by 2. (There is a 3 hour time difference) I wore a white BCBG Max gown that Matt picked out... he's also a great drummer along with his wonderful fashion advice. The awards were wonderful. Getting to see Garth was something that I have never been able to do..loved it. Miranda Lambert totally surprised me with Album of the Year. But, it was a good surprise, I am a huge fan of hers. (She is a woman who seems to feel comfortable in her own skin, and knows its ok to be herself. I love that. Plus, she can rock it harder than any other female, in my opinion,- if it matters.)
OK so after VIP at the Awards, its out change, and get comfy and ready to party. We ended up in a suite (i'm sure you can guess who's... ah hem..rich..) and the veiw gets better every year. Little big town, Rascal Flatts, Brooks (without Dunn) were all there. My best bud Matt joined me and was totally star struck and had such a great time. Kelli Pickler (who is one of the most beautiful blondes I have ever seen) had a very aggressive conversation with me about how much she wanted red hair...ha. It was a great time. i think the highlight of my night was being able to see two foot fred again (and when I got to take off my shoes). i get to see him (fred) every year at that party and he gets more adorable every time. (Speaking of cute, ladies, go check out new artist Chuck Wicks...YUP)
Well, thats just about it. As you know there are way more details to go into, way more gossip, cute outfits, bad outfits, good performances, and the bad, but as you all know...
WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS..... (SINGLE OF THE YEAR) STAY (s) in Vegas!!!!!

Alien interference
Hey everyone!!! Lots of things to catch up on. First off I just want to say that the Melbourne art fest was a blast! It was alb's first time there and we can't wait to go back!
I just returned from Texas playing for Cowboy Troy. If you haven't heard of CT, he is a card carryin' member of the Muzik Mafia- go and check him out. His music is a mix of rap, county, and metal. He passionately refers to it as "Hickhop". It was a wonderful and exciting show at the Glass Cactus at the Gaylord Texan. Playing for Troy was truly a great and refreshing experience. The trip to Texas at 4 am was rough but, hangin with the boys was way too much fun - and not just because they are ALL gentlemen (and carried my gear through the airport while singing backstreet boys at the top of their lungs. :) yes, that is VERY true.)
I will be leaving for viva vegas on Friday for the acm's. I will be sure to press up that trip! And in 2 weeks, it's back up to Nashville for good old fan fair!
As of right now I am getting my hair a more shocking shade of red and am looking like I can pick up alien interference with all the foil in my head... So, must go, time to wash!
